Each band gives you 15dB of boost or cut, has bell or peak curves and offers a wide overlap of frequencies between bands. Both the high and low bands have a shelf button too. This is a required text for Internet Law classes. It is edited very poorly. There are typos on every other page, and I found two cases that were no longer good law (even though this is the new edition).
