The chain measures 120cm in length (end to end). The chain is 9ct gold and the slider is 14ct gold (tested). The clip on the end is 9ct and likely a later replacement. I have been using this charger for several months now. I think the design is fantastic. I've seen other reviews which question the reliability of it. My experience has been the opposite. I have a folding phone so it's not light. The connection to the dash has remained intact without fail. I am careful when removing the phone. I don't just yank it off. It charges as it should. The magnetic force is what I expected. Holds my phone with no issues or concerns it could fail and drop the phone. It's super convenient to have this integrated design. My dash is already occupied with a portable android auto unit. My 4Runner is older and did not have that feature. Again, this is plastic. Handle it with some care and I don't see anyone having issues with breaking. It has worked out great for me. Recommend.
