Use the diagonal lines to easily center your block when trimming and use the colored outside 1 4in seam allowance marks to help you see what will show of your block after sewing it into your quilt. Disappointed in this. I have the large size and expected a smaller version of the rubber ball. Instead this came with a ball covered in fabric. The dogs I bought it for won't play with the ball. Maybe it is my fault for not reading more closely but why would Chuck-It even sell something so cheap and poorly made. Dogs can easily rip the fabric off the rubber (which is in two pieces). Very strangely made. Now I have buy a ball to use it.
