Stride Rite deserves all the hype... The best children's shoes we have ever owned. I love the removable insert that lets you measure the foot, or adapt for wide / narrow feet. We took it out just to prevent extra pressure on the bone structure. Basically, I bought one pair of these, and one lower quality brand just for playtime / getting dirty, etc. It was a great setup and it's nice to have two pairs of shoes available. He outgrew these and I got the next size up of the same style. That's a very good sign 👍
