Lot of 2 Belgium HankiesVintage lot of 2 hankies from Belgium. One is a pale pink silk and is probably from WWI, judging by the flags and style. The Brussels hankie is probably WWII. It is hand painted and the ribbon colors are the colors of the Belgian flag. The silk one is delicate and has a few small holes and stains. Price is for both hankies.

I like the material and construction; it's soft and thick. It is warm and is effective at temperatures in the teens and winds around 30 mph. The thickness of the material helps prevent my breath from instantly condensing and moistening the fabric. I never got the "wet dog" smell wet wool is known for. Its fit is a little tight but not prohibitively so. The color matches that of the beanie. It's too sort to be considered versatile. In wind I had to choose between shielding my neck or my face. I HIGHLY recommend you not machine wash and dry. Hand wash it and let it dry naturally.
