Antique Swedish Sugar Cutting Box with Internal CutterThis is a rare antique Swedish sugar cutting box dating to the late 19th century. The box is made of pine and features a lift up lid which opens to reveal an internal metal cutter set over a pierced base. To the bottom of the box is a shallow drawer, designed to catch the sugar which has been cut from a sugar loaf in the compartment above. The metal blade is stamped with L. G. Wibell, Eskilstuna. My husband loves these. He’s got black, navy, bright blue, burgundy, grey…. and I’m sure I may be missing some!
