Mit Hund und WortDer Aufbruch der neuen Frauenbewegung erfasste auch Esther Spinner, allerdings auf unerwartete Weise. Anstatt ein Germanistikstudium zu beginnen, entschloss sie sich, nach Sardinien zu fahren und ein Buch zu schreiben. Dass sie dort als Erstes zu einem Hund kam, war nicht vorgesehen. Es zeigte sich, dass Hund und Schreiben gut zusammenpassten, so gut, dass die Autorin nach ihrer ersten Hndin sich auf eine zweite, dritte, vierte und gar fnfte einliess.
